This is a forum for Landholders and the Community to discuss gold exploration on EL’s 7587 and 8242 at Yalgogrin – New South Wales, Australia

Yalgogrin is ~40kms west of West Wyalong on the Mid Western Highway in New South Wales Australia.
CJ & WS Hughes hold exploration licences 7587 and 8242 over old gold mining areas that date back to 1893 and we are happy to try and answer any questions.  here is a map of our EL’s at Yalgogrin.

Just to give some Statewide perspective –  the next map indicates that mineral exploration is taking place over wide areas of New South Wales.

  1. I assume there are compiiance, reporting & expenditure requirements which come with being a tenement holder under the mines act?

    • That is right Tom – we report each 12 months on our work – and a minimum annual expenditure is set by the Resources Department when the licence is issued. EL holders also have to lodge a bond with the Resources Department which is set at a level dependent on the size of the EL and impacts expected from planned activities. A typical EL in NSW might have a bond lodged of between $10,000 – $30,000. We have experience of mineral exploration in NSW going back to the 1970’s and we have related well with many landholders over that time.

  2. I an a contract exploration geologist with an interest in promoting IRG exploration potential in NSW. I have explored and seen a number of these styles of deposits in north QLD and NSW.
I am familiar with the area would be interested in exchanging notes/experience.
    Cheers
